Fly fishing on the Deerfield River in western Massachusetts was fun. Mostly getting reacquainted with the river and the fly rod, but great nonetheless. No fish on this trip, maybe next time.

FYI: Massachusetts fishing license, just under $30 for the freedom to fish as well as a Massachusetts Fishing & Wildlife magazine. The town officials in Amherst, Mass. were nice and quick, but no card – cash, check, etc. only. I ended up running around trying to figure out getting money from the back. The bank was slower than the government today, how is that as a sign of the times. Anyways, now I am free to stand in the water with my fishing pole all day long.
